A Night of Comedy to Benefit Danny Did

We look forward to a fun night of laughter while supporting kids with epilepsy. "Stand Up For Danny" will be hosted by Chicago comic Phil Davidson, with a comedy lineup that kicks off with Dana Ehrmann and Jimmy Roberson, followed by our headliner Brian Hicks. (See bios below!)

Tickets are available online only for this Saturday, June 1st event. Doors and open bar will start at 7 pm, followed by live comedy at 8 pm. Make plans to enjoy dinner at The Piggery before the show. Don't delay...invite friends and buy your tickets before we sell out!

OUR COMEDY LINEUP:

Phil Davidson: Our event emcee has worked at the Improv, Zanies and other clubs around the Midwest. As a longtime friend to the Danny Did Foundation, he has produced several comedy events to benefit our cause.

Jeanie Doogan: Jeanie started her career at the tender age of five when she quickly learned that as the youngest of eight children, she needed a hook if she ever wanted to be fed, bathed, or have her existence acknowledged in any way. Failing miserably at tap dancing, Irish dancing, gymnastics, and academics, she carved out her comedy niche with kick-ass knock-knock jokes and soon rose to fame at the family dinner table with such classics as: “knock-knock.” “knock-knock.” “knock-knock! Open the door! You left me outside again!” Since her kitchen table debut, Jeanie has entertained audiences at colleges, casinos, and corporate events, and is a regular at venues such as Zanies Comedy Clubs, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Bar. She was highlighted in Chicago Parents’ Magazine’s Four of Chicago’s Funniest: Stand Up Parents, and was featured on Team CoCo’s House All Star Showcase, and Nick Jr.’s Moms’ Night Out.

Dana Ehrmann: Dana Ehrmann first tried stand-up as a student at Carthage College in Kenosha, and has been self-deprecating and discussing sort-of-but-not-quite-adulthood on stage ever since. Now based in Milwaukee, she has performed at the Milwaukee, Floodwater and Great Spirit Comedy Festivals, and opened for Todd Barry, Hari Kondabolu, Dan Soder and Charlie Berens. She’s also sorry she hasn’t watched that t.v. show you recommended, but she just has, like, a lot going on right now.

Jimmy Roberson: Jimmy Roberson is a stand up comedian based in Chicago, IL. He has appeared at numerous comedy festivals including the Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington, IN and the Arch City Comedy Festival in Columbus, OH.

About Danny Did Epilepsy Foundation: Founded by Chicago parents Mike and Mariann Stanton in 2010 after the sudden death of their four-year-old son Danny, the Danny Did Foundation’s primary mission is to prevent deaths caused by seizures. The Foundation advances public awareness of epilepsy and Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), strives to improve communication about SUDEP between medical professionals and families affected by seizures, and advocates for the mainstream acceptance and use of seizure detection and prediction devices that may assist in preventing seizure-related deaths. DDF has supported families across all 50 states and 17 countries. Visit Danny Did at Dannydid.org.
