Danny was my nephew. He loved to play with his uncles, and he loved summer. Given the choice, he did not like to wear shirts. He was happiness embodied. Danny passed away from a seizure in 2009.
Danny’s parents founded the Danny Did Foundation to increase epilepsy awareness, and to ensure no other parents had to share their experience. To date, they’ve funded life saving seizure detection devices in 50+ countries around the world, and completely changed the dialogue around epilepsy. For many people, they’ve given hope where there was none.
I'm running the 2019 Chicago Marathon for Danny, and for his parents, and his brothers and sister. And for all of his family, so that I might be an expression of his joy. Help us win the fight against epilepsy and celebrate Danny's life by donating below.
