On April 11th, my High School team, the Notre Dame Ice Dons, is skating 400 miles in one hour for kids with epilepsy. Our skate will benefit the Danny Did Foundation and it's mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures. This Foundation was formed after our fellow student lost his little brother, Danny Stanton to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
The Danny Did Foundation takes it's name from the last line of Danny Stanton’s obituary, written by his dad: “Please go and enjoy your life. Danny did.” And that is our plan, to do what we enjoy the most while helping to protect kids with epilepsy.
