Running the 45th Chicago Marathon to help raise funds and awareness for the Danny Did Foundation
Join me and help make a difference, please give today.
October 9th 2022, I will be running 26.2 miles with the Danny Did Foundation to help raise funds and awareness for their mission:
"To advance public awareness of epilepsy and the risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), to protect people with epilepsy, and to prevent deaths caused by seizures."
This will be my second marathon; I ran the 125th Boston Marathon in October 2021 for Team Big Heart, a charity team named in memory of a young boy who passed away from cardiomyopathy. Reading Danny's story and the mission of the Danny Did Foundation, there are many parallels between the Big Heart Foundation and the Danny Did Foundation that affirmed that I wanted to run for the Danny Did Foundation in the 2022 Chicago Marathon. Not only do I want to bring awareness to the Danny Did foundation, but I am also running for my sister, Jennifer. She has spent her adolescent and adult life with epilepsy and I have witnessed first-hand how it has affected not only her life, but her family as well. I look forward to working with the Danny Did Foundation and also learning more about Danny and his family. With your help, we can spread Danny's message and help make a difference for the kids and their families that continue to battle Epilepsy and SUDEP on a daily basis.
