FINISH THE LOOP- FINISH THE JOB
Hello Friends,
Where does cycling come in? A couple of years ago I cycled solo and self-supported for the 550-miles around the southern half of Lake Michigan. It was a combination of escaping Covid and seeing Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin from the vantage point of a bike seat. In early September 2023, I plan on finishing the loop, starting in Ludington, Mi through Charlevoix and Mackinac, across the UP of Michigan and down the Wisconsin coast, approximately 550 miles. I will be shooting for 7-8 days for this given the weather, wind, and peculiarities around Mackinac. If I reach my goal, with your support, DDF will be able to purchase 15 seizure detection devices for families in need!
As I mentioned, many of you have opened your hearts to Danny Did but if you could find a way to help jump-start my ride Finish the Loop, Finish the Job around Lake Michigan for Danny Did, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all, and here’s to Danny Did, favorable winds and plentiful sunshine!
-John

About Danny Did Epilepsy Foundation: DDF was founded by Chicago parents Mike and Mariann Stanton in 2010 after the sudden death of their four-year-old son Danny, with the mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures. The Foundation advances public awareness of epilepsy and Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), strives to improve communication about SUDEP between medical professionals and families affected by seizures, and advocates for the mainstream acceptance and use of seizure detection and prediction devices that may assist in preventing seizure-related deaths.
The Danny Did Foundation takes it's name from the last line of Danny Stanton’s obituary, written by his dad: “Please go and enjoy your life. Danny did.” We celebrate Danny’s spirit in every child and family we reach.
