Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I will be running my 1st Chicago Marathon for TEAM DANNY DID!
The Danny Did Foundation's primary mission is to prevent deaths caused by seizures. The Foundation advances public awareness of epilepsy and Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), strives to improve communication about SUDEP between medical professionals and families impacted by seizures, and advocates for the mainstream acceptance and use of seizure detection and prediction devices that may assist in preventing seizure-related deaths.
I will be running in my second Marathon on October 7th 2018, My first marathon was the New York City Marathon in 2015. Running a Marathon was on my bucket list, and after 2015 I figured I would never run a marathon again. That's until I heard about Team Danny Did. A good friend of mine, his wife has epilepsy and she ran the Chicago Marathon in 2016. After seeing her run, and hearing about how much this charity means to her, I jumped at the opportunity to run for this great cause.
