Friends and Family –

I am so excited (and nervous) to be training for my first Chicago Marathon on October 7th and proud to be raising money for the Danny Did Foundation!

The Danny Did Foundation was founded in January 2010 in memory of Danny Stanton, who died in his sleep at the age of 4 due to a seizure. The Danny Did Foundation works to prevent deaths caused by seizures by raising awareness of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), assists families in receiving sleep monitors for those who suffer from seizures, and much more.

"Epilepsy impacts nearly three million people in the United States and 65 million people worldwide. One in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy over their lifetime. Seizures can sometimes be fatal from a range of causes; more people die as a result of seizures than from fires and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) combined. Thousands of deaths occur annually from SUDEP, status epilepticus (prolonged seizures), and other seizure-related causes such as drowning and other accidents."

Please visit The Danny Did Foundation at https://www.dannydid.org/ to see the amazing work they are doing.

My goal is to have you as a partner and supporter while I run the Chicago Marathon. You can do this by donating what you are able to this cause; every amount helps the Danny Did Foundation achieve their mission.
