I am running a Marathon in support of the Danny Did Foundation. Your donation will help protect children, like my daughter Alice, with Epilepsy.

I would really appreciate any level of support for my 26.2 miles for those suffering with seizures.

We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!

I have chosen to run the Chicago marathon for three reasons:

#1. This is likely my last full year living in Chicago, and I watch the runners every year and wish I was one of them.

#2. I would like to support a charity that means a lot to me personally. Alice, my 16 year old daughter, has been suffering from a rare form of epilepsy, called Sunflower Syndrome, since she was 4 years old. She has been having seizures since she was 12 years old. She is managing it wth medication, but adolescence makes is difficult for many reasons... lots of emotions and lots of hormones! However she is a trooper and takes it all in her stride. I've been amazed at how little is known about Epilepsy, and how many different forms of it there are. I am proud to raise money to support this foundation.

#3. I'm probably having some form of mid life crisis to undertake a marathon!!!

I've been running since my two girls, Alice & Emily were born. First to try to lose weight, then to find some time for myself, then to spend time wth friends (Jude & Tracey you know who you are!). Now I run to keep fit, spend time with Alex and Woody, and I'm still trying to lose weight! Running this marathon is a huge deal for me, as I've only ever done a Half before. However long it takes me, I will crawl over that finish line...eventually!

I would really appreciate any level of donation to help me over the line, and to help the DannyDid foundation raise money for all kids suffering from seizures.

Thank you
