My 30's have been filled with more blessings than I could name and in December, I will be blessed to turn 40. But there is one piece of unfinished business. I have a list of goals that I set for myself to accomplish before the big 4-0 and let's just say I waited until the very last minute for this one!
I will be running for the Danny Did Foundation. For those of you who do not know Danny's story, he was the 4 year old son of my high school basketball coach who died suddenly and unexpectedly when he suffered a seizure in his sleep. I remember hearing of Danny for the fist time when I was pregnant with my first child and wondered how a family gets through so great of a loss.
Ten years later, the Danny Did Foundation has raised money to develop and supply technology to those around the world affected with seizures that alerts someone to the fact it is happening. Through the most difficult of circumstances, Danny's family and the Danny Did Foundation has made a difference and I am proud to contribute in any way I can.
