I am running the Chicago Marathon in support of the Danny Did Foundation, and in memory and with inspiration from my son, Brendan.

Brendan was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 10 years old, and with medication and self care, was able to manage his seizures and live a life like any other kid. On November 28, 2017, at 19 years old, Brendan past away unexpectedly from a seizure in his sleep. At the time of his passing, Brendan was a freshman at Iowa State, following his dream to becoming a mechanical engineer. He is remembered by his friends as one of the nicest people they have ever met, always making sure others were taken care of. Brendan was loved so dearly as a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, student, team mate and friend.

I am honored to be apart of Team Danny Did, and supporting the Danny Did Foundationโ€™s mission in raising awareness for sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP), and preventing deaths by seizures. Please consider supporting my 26.2 miles for those suffering with seizures.
