I will be running the Chicago Marathon this October in support of the Danny Did Foundation!

Founded by Chicagoans Mike and Mariann Stanton in January 2010 after the death of their four-year-old son Danny, the Danny Did Foundation works toward its mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures with these main goals in mind:

  1. advance public awareness of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP)
  2. enhance the SUDEP communication model between medical professionals and families afflicted by seizures
  3. mainstream seizure detection and prediction devices that may assist in preventing seizure-related deaths

The name of the foundation originates from the last line of Danny’s obituary, written by his dad: “Please go and enjoy your life. Danny did.”

Supporting this great cause is something that is truly special to me. Please consider supporting my 26.2 miles for those affected by SUDEP and epilepsy. I could not be more honored to run with a group of people in support of an amazing cause, dedicated to an extraordinary boy.

Thank you for all of your support!
