I am running my fifth marathon to fundraise for a phenomenal foundation that strives to improve the lives of individuals and families negatively impacted by seizures. As an Oncology nurse, I often lament the fact that we don’t yet have the science to support technological advances and interventions that may save the lives of patients with a number of chronic conditions; fortunately, there are interventions available to help prevent deaths related to seizures. The Danny Did Foundation spreads public awareness regarding these interventions and collaborates with medical professionals to facilitate timely, factual conversations with their patients regarding SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
