3 weeks from now, I will run my sixth marathon. This time in Chicago. For the first time, I am running a marathon in support of a cause which is very near and dear to my heart. The charity I have chosen is the Danny Did Foundation. The Danny Did Foundation supports families of individuals with epilepsy and raises awareness for SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death of Epilepsy), which is the leading cause of death for people with uncontrolled seizures. Each year 1 in 1,000 people with epilepsy die from SUDEP. Through grants provided by this wonderful charity, families are able to purchase seizure alert devices which help to prevent deaths caused by seizures. Money raised for this charity has the potential to save the lives of those with epilepsy. I could not be more proud to support The Danny Did Foundation.
