Hello!

My name is Rebecca Emory. I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Atlanta, GA and I care for children with Epilepsy.

I chose to go into Epilepsy in honor of Inara, one of my beloved family members who conquers Epilepsy each and every day.

Each day I see these incredible children, just like Inara, live their lives to the fullest while dealing with a chronic condition. They are resilient. Powerful. Inspiring. But, through all the strength - sometimes Epilepsy wins. SUDEP is a fatal complication of Epilepsy. I am running to raise awareness and help contribute to research to help prevent unnecessary deaths in children living with Epilepsy. To help provide support for them to live happy, healthy, normal lives.

After 5 hip surgeries between 2015-2017 I never thought I would be able to run again. I overcame every obstacle that was thrown at me and have persevered to do something that I love. I want to lead by example and show children living with Epilepsy that no goal is too big, no dream is out of reach. I am combining my passion for running, for Inara, and caring for all children with Epilepsy, to make a difference.

Please support me in this dream to make a difference. Each contribution no matter what the size makes a huge impact.
